The descriptions and slices of historical comment are a varied mix reflecting the authors close attachment and interest in the area. (See about us).

In the video below Tony Storey describes his Haltwhistle upbringing and continued links to the town.

Haltwhistle and South Tynedale has a long history from Romans to railways.  Given local roots I've sought to explore this over recent decades, desktop publishing a range of booklets and books.  These are available by post for anyone interested.

Summary descriptions are available for each title, the titles are roughly grouped into themes. The list is given under The Books (index to the left).

This site will be of interest to all those with an association with Tynedale perhaps by birth or ancestory.

The booklets have been written over a number of years, most have been previously published and distributed. This site pulls the titles together and makes them easily available.
All of the books/booklets can be purchased from Tony Storey
